In this episode, I am interviewing Bob Miller, the founder of the Tree of Life Functional Genomic Analysis.  I am here with Bob Miller today to dive into some very important concepts when it comes to bladder pain and IC, which includes histamine and oxalates and how they relate to inflammation and detox pathways.  Bob Miller has been doing some amazing work with his company Nutrigenetic research and dives into pathways and genomics of mechanisms that we see in clinical practice.

Recent findings have strongly associated IC/BPS condition with oxalates, mast cells and histamines, and I have actually seen this myself in clinical practice with various tests we can run to identify these triggers.  Also, I am finding mold seems to be a big problem with this population too.

The audio version of this can be quite educational and informative. To view the full video, visit my Youtube interview at IC Healer's Youtube Channel and be sure to subscribe to be alerted for future interviews.

Some key concepts:

  • What are genetic polymorphisms?
  • How are mast cells associated with IC?
  • Histamines?
  • Oxalates and histamines?
  • How do oxalates promote inflammation?
  • What pathways are associated with inflammation and histamines of IC pain?
