"You're selfish" is usually thrown out as an insult when you aren't doing something someone else wants you to do. They believe you have it in your means and they deserve it. OR that you are taking more than your share.
But what is the truth? Who gets to decide if something is selfish?
After we had this conversation I saw a post (forgive me I don't remember where) that said selfish is taking three pieces of pizza because you are afraid there won't be enough. Kindness is taking one for the same reason.
Thank you to Danica Virginia Meredith, Stewart Wiggins and Coach M J Tolan for having this conversation with me.
What do you think makes something selfish? Let us know in the comments.
