As human beings we naturally crave connection with others and so we spend a lot of time working on our external relationships, oftentimes at the expense of the relationship we have with ourselves.
As autistic people, a lot of us spend our lives struggling with our self-identity and because we often don't know where and with whom we fit, we try to fit anywhere in order to satisfy this need for connection.
