When you live a life contrary to the commandments of God the Bible says in Amos 5:18, Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? The day of the Lord is darkness and not light. But when you live a life that is pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord denying your flesh living spiritually then it is written in second Peter 3:12, Looking for and hasting the coming of the day of God wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved and the elements shall melt with fervent heat nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
