Daniel was a young Jewish man that was taken out of his birth country and exiled into a foreign world that was very different to what he was used to. The situation required him to adapt quickly, remain calm and stay grounded in his faith and his heritage.

What the story of Daniel teaches us is that we all have unique skills and gifts that God has given us to use for good in the world and to glorify God. As believers, children of God, we are not the weaker nation. Our strength lies in our humility because we are not competing with these foreign nations like Daniel, we are teaching them there is another way, the right way.  We are strong because God is with us.
