With the massive growth of Web3 and the NFT, space has come to an influx of conferences, meetups, symposiums, and events. Some provide more value than others, but all serve as a platform for speakers to share their knowledge and educators to reach the masses. However, a problem that is carrying over from Web2 is the problem of “manels.”  The lack of equal representation in speaker and panel lineups is uncomfortable for me to observe over and over again. The number of minorities and women who deserve the stage is many. And the lack of effort to support and engage them by many organizers demonstrates either laziness or an inability to seek out these people. I’d be happy to make introductions.
