December 5, 2021 - “The Light has Dawned!”

The Messianic prophesy in Isaiah 9 begins with the people walking in darkness. The people are living in the land of the shadow of death. They’re living under a heavy burden, under the weight of a horrible yoke. Isaiah was describing their world.

And ours.

The wreckage and carnage, the twisted bodies and warped minds, the moral and institutional vileness --- it surrounds us. Greed, violence, lust, slavery, war, disease, divorce, death. Yes, we live in a dark world.

“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;

on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”

~Isaiah 9:2

Please read Isaiah 9:2-7 a couple of times this week. Then join us at 10:00 this Sunday morning December 12 as we celebrate together the birth of our promised Messiah, the coming of God’s great light.
