Q. Why is racism injustice inequality still an issue in today’s America? Hate running rampant in her streets?
Myth: Because white America is afraid.
Fact: White fright is petrified of the black man woman child who comes into knowledge of the truth. Knowledge of their rights. Understands that knowledge is more powerful than anything on this earth. Because it cannot be silenced nor subdued without consequence.
Remembering the Trail Blazers of civil rights. Pioneers of knowing our rights. Matriarchs of understanding we must be lights in the darkness. Patriarchs of family staying together as fundamental to black unity. Rejecting lesser than with cast down eyes. Marching onward. Ever upward. Always looking up. Our eyes fixed upon skies without limits.
White fright has caused an American instability imbalance that needs righted. Yet bearing responsibility for what ails U.S. requires a commitment courage perseverance which seems to come with too high a price tag for some. Yet inaction is not an option if Democracy is to continue strong. American democracy a great light which shines a path that others outside our borders wish to walk. White America MUST cash in fear denial apathy. Acknowledge our truth. That ALL men are indeed created equal. That black Americans share inalienable rights right alongside them. That unless we lay down our hatred and lift each other we as a People, will ALL share same fate. Fallen, fallen is Babylon the Great.
In memory of Sandra Bland #SayHerName who in life encouraged racial justice equality unity. As she rests in power still influences same. Despite charges against the arresting officer being dropped. Resulting in no accountability criminal prosecution being brought against any one in the arrest assault and battery violation of rights and wrongful death of Sandra Bland. In spite of the de escalation training of police requirement being dropped from the legislation ultimately passed as the Sandra Bland Act. Her legacy lives on.
