CSU Bakersfield's All Students Incorporated Board Meeting on June 22, 2020 is the first of two student government meetings scheduled for the summer. These two meetings contain a wealth of information, but are centralized on the budget for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. The proposed budget is lower than last years due to an expectation of a decline in revenue. The expected decline is based on a number of factors, some known and some unknown. One of which is student enrollment. ASI Executive Director Ilaria Pesco states, "As a student fee driven entity, we don't know exactly how many students are going to be coming as full fee paying students for the fall and over the course of this next year." As the financial landscape shifts around a virtual campus, there are changes coming to coursework delivery. Most courses will be online but CSUB Provost Dr. Vernon Harper has said there are certain courses that have been submitted to CSU Chancellor Timothy White as exceptions to the virtual format in order to meet in person under strict social distancing guidelines. "We are requesting 51 exceptions, and there are a variety of other courses that would constitute as well, clinicals & internships, there are 57 of those as well," Dr. Harper states to the ASI Board.

In addition to a change in coursework delivery, CSUB is also working towards a plan to bring a certain student service back on campus to compliment it's virtual programming. The SRC is developing a possible plan to reopen in a limited capacity with a variety of social distancing safeguards such as contactless entry via a new SRC app, reserved workout times, and dedensifying the facility. As for the SRC reopening, SRC Director Mary O'Mohoney is hopeful but acknowledges that it is a CSU system wide decision, "We are working on a reopen plan, but that decision will come from the Chancellors office and the President's office, but we will continue to offer a robust, engaging, hopefully community building virtual program in the fall as well."

ASI's next board meeting is scheduled for Monday June 29th, 2020 and will have similar themes as the proposed budget will be voted on for approval. This will be the final board meeting before the start of the 20-21 school year, but ASI will continue to meet in a to be determined summer series of events consisting of CSUB community conversations, a book club, and a possible guest speaker series centralized on enriching the student experience during summer session.
