The mistake that people make is that they endure moments that make them uncomfortable, the hopes that one day they're going to reach a point that they no longer need to change. You spent your childhood growing up establishing identity, going to university, going to school, and then graduate rating. And then once you have a full-time job, your identity starts to stay the same. You start to become stale. You stop growing. You stop going through all these different phases that you once went through when you were younger. Thinking about it in the scope of your 1st 20 years, you go through so many different phases in the first 20 years. You go from being a toddler to being a young child. Like going to primary school, going to high school, and then becoming a young adult, graduating, becoming your own identity, figuring yourself out. And then what happens after that? Most people end up just becoming stale. They close them yourself off to change because they become comfortable. Now, you spend your 1st 20 years to establish a good job or a job that you might be able to establish, a foundation to build your life, maybe get married, buy a house. And once you pass that phase, you end up just staying the same and that becomes your identity. But you know what? If you are not changing, you're not growing, or you are going to be what you see in your parents, someone that's outdated and someone that is kind of old fashioned and doing things the old way, while as the world evolves and advances, you're going to miss out on these opportunities, right? And so, at the end of the day, you may have your goals and ambitions, maybe it's your health and your fitness goals, but if you're too comfortable within your current routine, you're never going to be able to experience these things that you could have in your life. And like the idea of having to reschedule or redshifts or radically change your day, it feels uncomfortable. And some of my clients tell me that after work you don't have motivation; you don't have energy to go to the gym. And then with the suggestion that you can shift it to the morning, some of you close off that idea. It's scary. If you're used to waking up at 07:00 to go to work. I believe it or not, night used to wake up at 08:00 to start at 830 when I used to live so close to work. And that was when I was in the worst shape of my life.
