Meditation has really helped us in terms of me as a person, as a human being, to be a better partner, a better business owner, a better coach, because it allows me to be more in tune with my emotions and my thoughts. I think a lot of people think that the purpose of meditation is to clear your mind. Well, that is one of the exercises. However, if you find that when you're meditating and your thoughts are racing, everything in there is chaotic. Well, that's exactly why you should be meditating. It's for you to be more aware that your mind and your thoughts are racing for you to better take better control. And I want you to understand that your thoughts are one thing, but your actions are another thing, right? And if you don't meditate, you are going to be living a very reactive life. So, whatever your thoughts are, you react based on that. And if you can't control your emotions, your emotions control you. A really good example is when you're feeling stressed, when you're feeling overwhelmed. That's our emotion. That's what the thoughts are in our mind. However, we don't know how to respond and cate our actions to work around the feelings that we feel. We react based on the stress and overwhelmed. We literally tense up, we shut down and we feel burnt out. And being able to better process that emotion is going to allow you to have taken better action, be able to slow down a little bit, understand exactly what you need to do to overcome that challenge and then work through. Okay, so ten minutes of meditation. And I want you to understand the meditation is just like going to the gym. Doing it once isn't going to do anything. If you go to the gym once, you never do it again. While you're not really going to benefit much from that one training session, now, are you? Same thing with meditation. If you just meditate once and finally it just doesn't work for you, well, you don't really know what you're expecting in the first place. And secondly, you're not doing long enough to use the benefits.
