What we're talking about today is falling off track because we've had a few people kind of fall off track. Like, I'm being transparent as an online coach, you're never going to get 100% adherence, even if you have the perfect program. It's also the reason why that I come up with these lives and give you guys free. You value each and every single day.
Even if I can give you all the tools in the world, you may not have that glue that gets you to stay committed to yourself. And I think a lot of us have been in that position before. Let me paint the picture for you. Sometimes it feels like you're living your life in autopilot.
You're living your life in third person almost. And it's an out of body experience. And you have this intention to get off the couch, go to the gym. You're telling yourself, all right, you should go to the gym. You said that you'd start today. Your body just continues to eat the packet of chips right in front of the couch. And then you pull out another tub of ice cream and you start eating it. And you're telling yourself, yeah, you know what? I should stop.
You should stop doing this. You can't be eating like this. You stop and you're telling yourself while watching yourself do it, like you have no sense of control, like an out of body experience. And it happens. It happens to a lot of us because we don't know how to process these thoughts and emotions, these subconscious impulses. And at the end of the day, we have this innate ability to always want to be comfortable, and we need to figure out a way to work around it. And to be honest, the fitness journey is hard. The fitness journey isn't easy.
It's never supposed to be easy. It's always supposed to be uncomfortable. And maybe when we're motivated, when we have a clear, unobstructed pathway to our success or our goals, we're motivated because it's clear and that we know exactly what we need to do. Like what I said on Friday, the clear road to success. That's the exception. The challenges along the way, that's the expectation. So you should learn to accept and expect these challenges and learn to work around them rather than working really hard, being super motivated at the start. And then the first timeline of a challenge that you get, you kind of just completely fall off track and you go like invisible.
