On the whole, most humans make emotional decisions and then post-rationalize them. This is because everything you do in life is with the aim to avoid pain or seek pleasure, that is if you are still driven by your lower natures, which most are due to the human conditioning of our world. Of course we do not completely trascend all lower nature, that would not be healthy nor physically possible, we have a human chemical body with basic needs we must attend to. We can however, as I have personally, and trained many others to achieve, become self aware of these emotional drivers & investments, how they are affecting our decisions and how we can therefore shift our focus to the wise mind. From the wise mind (emotion & logic) we can make more conscious decisions before acting on an emotion, thus building strength in our higher natures, and becoming a master of our creations, rather than a slave to the pendulum of "in the moment" emotions. We become true masters of inner alchemy.
