California lawmakers are considering a new taxpayer funded program that would allow first time homebuyers buy a home. Senate President Pro Tempore Toni Atkins new proposal would spend $10 billion over the next decade to help families purchase homes. The plan would provide first-time homebuyers 17% toward the purchase price of a home.
