Apple's FaceID is a convenient way to unlock your phone. However, from the time it was released, there were concerns that it could be used to easily unlock your phone while asleep or not paying attention. Fortunately, Apple had already anticipated this and implemented features to prevent it, but a change of one setting could render those features useless.
