Recap of last week’s Truth/Dare: (Anike)

Dare: (Anike): Find someone of value, someone you look up to, who does what you want to do and be obsessed with them. 5/7 days this week find someone who does what you want to do and reach out to them, learn from them. Take action. So you can be inspired and move into action.

• Anike: I want to be paid to speak. I have a natural gift but I need practice. So I reached out to Toast Masters, and found a chapter in Idaho Falls. It’s the perfect place to fail. I found a meeting at 6:30am, but the morning off I didn't want to get up. But I told myself I was committed until i got out of bed. Then I got to the restaurant, and no one was there, because they changed locations. But when I showed up there, I didn’t see anyone. I kept telling myself I was committed. And I finally found them and met a gentleman or was looking for a speaker for the kids in his group home. And I am now going to help these kids and develop my skills. And my husband can help with his business too. Finding success by saying “I am committed”
• Johanna: Struggling to know what I want to do, because I enjoy my life. Want to be a better mom. Want help financially. So I reached out to Taunte Audrey. And Asked “How do you budget your life?” She said it took at least 10 years to get into a rhythm. And they made mistakes along the way. Give yourself an allowance. Set small goals. Give yourself Grace, and be present with your family
• Bretagne: Didn’t find a mentor, but it opened up some great conversations. Met with my yoga crew and learned they want to be life coaches too. And met with My Life Coach, and she gave me guidance for my business. And then I met a fighter, GeGe Good, and we connected so deep! And I think I have found a soul friend.

New Truth: (Bretagne): How do you feel when the topic of money or finances comes up? How is your relationship with money?

• Johanna: I am comfortable with everything, but when I sense other people are uncomfortable, it makes me uncomfortable. But I want to talk about it, because I want to get better with finances.
• Bretagne: I used to have a poor man’s mindset. But I believe that we need to change our belief around money. The more money you make the more people you can help.
• Anike: When I am invited places, my first thought, is what does it cost. Yeah, I am uncomfortable talking about money. It’s unnecessarily taboo.

Its more important to give than to receive. But especially as women, I feel like we are not educated on finances. We also need to get away from the idea of “I will be happy when…” If you find gratitude and joy now, abundance will come. You will not be given more, until you are grateful for what you have.

New Dare: (Bretagne): Money is no longer a dirty word. This week take control of your finances. Make a budget, Review your bank statement, Stop a subscription service. Don’t go shopping, or do. But stop avoiding the financial conversation. Look at your money coming and going with gratitude either way. And create a plan for abundance.
