🚀 This episode of the podcast "Trends, Innovation & Business Model" is about how to build smart business models and why digitization is not enough.

The word digitization distracts many companies in the wrong way of thinking and from what is really important. History repeats itself for many companies who wonder why they are not achieving higher profit margins despite the high investments in digitization.

And it's no wonder, because they all make the same mistake: The digitization of old processes that were already not very customer-friendly cannot work.

A little tip: the customer actually doesn't want to notice internal processes or suffer from them. He wants to experience joy and fun, satisfaction or relief when he wants to solve his problems and fulfill his wishes. This also applies to all encounters with companies, whether direct or indirect.

The experience along all customer touch points must be experienced positively by the customers, no, it must even be significantly better than that of your competitors. But also with the backstage view, your resources and activities, the selected ecosystem and the business partners must be sensibly and smartly selected and controlled.

The rule here is that companies or employees have many very good skills and knowledge today, but these my be redundant in the future because they are better provided by AI, blockchain or IoT devices.

Smart business models use existing trends and correct all of their business model modules for the opportunities that arise, or reduce their risks.
