Today (Wednesday, April 13, 2022), we ask God to help us honor God no matter what we face.

A reading from 1 Corinthians 1:18,
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Let us pray:

Lord God,
We tremble to think that it was one of Jesus’ own friends who betrayed him. One who sat by him, who broke bread with him.

Give us strength, we pray, to walk faithfully with Jesus, even when the road we walk is rocky; even when the message of the cross seems like foolishness; and even when we feel betrayed.

You, Lord, are always faithful. We stumble, we become lost, but you are steady and sure.
Give us the grace to endure our troubles, and reveal to us the glory of your kingdom,
through your son, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Hoy (Miércoles 13 de abril de 2022), le pedimos a Dios que nos ayude a honrar a Dios sin importar lo que enfrentemos.

1 Corintios 1:18,
Porque la palabra de la cruz es locura para los que se pierden, pero para nosotros los que se salvan es poder de Dios.

Oremos:

Señor Dios, temblamos al pensar que fue uno de los propios amigos de Jesús quien lo traicionó. Uno que se sentaba a su lado, que partía el pan con él.

Danos fuerza, oramos, para caminar fielmente con Jesús, incluso cuando el camino que caminamos es pedregoso; aun cuando el mensaje de la cruz parezca una tontería; e incluso cuando nos sentimos traicionados.

Tú, Señor, eres siempre fiel. Tropezamos, nos perdemos, pero tú eres firme y seguro.
Danos la gracia de soportar nuestras tribulaciones, y revélanos la gloria de tu reino, por medio de tu hijo, Jesucristo, que vive y reina contigo y el Espíritu Santo.
