In this deep and powerful interview, Tara Cosgrove Pompetti, aka Tiny, shares how her life completely changed when she was 25.
Tiny was brutally attacked by her ex-boyfriend. He stabbed her 18 times, puncturing a lung and kidney. She spent a lot of time recovering in a medically induced coma, but even though her physical health was restored afterward, her mental health was declining and Tiny fell into a deep depression. She turned to alcohol and drugs to cope and cleverly hid her struggle from others.
One day, she chose and decided to live and get better, and started her journey to recovery. She slowly transformed her body and mindset and focused on her health and fitness every single day. She went on to win the 2018 IDFA Figure and Fitness Model competition and the 2019 Muscle Mania Montreal Figure competition.
Today, being a successful Health and Fitness Coach, Tiny’s life mission is to help women be healthy and inspire them to overcome their challenges — whether it be abuse, addiction, or mental illness — and build true self-confidence.
“A situation does not define you — your actions determine your outcome,” she says. “Keep on going and you’ll realize that life does not happen to you, it happens for you.”
