Just before Jesus dies, He whispers the words, “It is finished.” What is finished? What did He mean by “it”? Was He talking about His life, His pain, that moment, or was He referencing something bigger? If Jesus finished something, what was it, and where did it start? What was the end of His life also meant to put an end to? Why would anyone believe He uniquely had the ability to redirect human history?
