In this episode, we begin a new summer sermon series called The Psalmist’s Playlist, exploring the different genres found throughout the book of Psalms and learning how each one helps us better understand God’s Word.Starting with Psalm 1, we examine what it means to walk the path of wisdom. The psalm presents two very different ways of living: one rooted in God and His Word, and another built on human strength, selfish ambition, and temporary success.Through the powerful image of a tree planted beside streams of water, we are reminded that a life grounded in God can remain steady and fruitful even through seasons of hardship. True wisdom is more than simply knowing Scripture. It means delighting in God’s Word, meditating on it, and allowing it to shape our choices, character, and direction. This message challenges us to consider which path we are following, where our foundation is built, and whether we are reading Scripture only for information or allowing God to transform us through it.As you listen, reflect on two important questions: What does this passage reveal about who God is, and what does it teach us about the path to life?
