Jesus, in his human nature, cried out for his cup to be taken from him. He knew he was going to die on the cross and felt the anguish of what was going to happen. In this temporary moment, Jesus battled with producing. I cannot begin to imagine all the emotions that took over his body. He prayed so hard that verse 44 states "his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground." Despite it all, Jesus moved forward and today, you and I are recipients of his sacrifice and love.
