In this episode of the Leadership That Lasts Podcast, Greg talks more about integrity, the fourth element in Five Common Elements of Effective and Sustaining Leadership. As a leader, you will face certain pushback from the people you lead, your customers, the culture, and countless other places.
Being a leader with integrity will help you be an effective leader through those tough times. Not only that, but it will help the people you are leading know that you are someone worth following.
Two ways that you can help ensure you are a leader of integrity are to build resilience and know your values. If you do not have resilience and values, then you will be prone to change your course very easily.
Oftentimes you will be faced with a, seemingly, easier way towards your goal. However, that easy way would mean compromising your integrity. Being strong in your integrity will be an example to those you are leading as they face their own moment of potential compromise.
RESPONSE QUESTION - Write out three values that define your leadership. Then three people who know you, if these three values are true to what they experience of you?
