Life is a creative process.

We make a mark on a canvas and see how it fits in or if it looks like something that we want to pursue. Sometimes we hit a dead-end and move to the next project, and sometimes we create something amazing and we are pleased and it doesn't take any effort at all. Sometimes a piece takes forEVER and we have no idea where it is heading.

This is like our life. It's a constant process of re-evaluating what we’ve created.

We determine if we want to pursue that particular work or job or relationship or living situation, or whether we want to let that one go and move on to the next piece. Or maybe we somehow incorporate the old work into a new piece, and add new layers, creating something completely new out of what we already have. This is the creative process.

And this is life

In this interview I talk about that process, and how setbacks are part of it.

Watch this interview I did recently with Paulette Rees-Dennis. We talk about practice, persistence, patience, and believing in yourself! Paulette is an artist herself, and chats with other artists to discover where the heart is in their hustle. Check out her work here.
