Jules' Advice to Aspiring Knowledge Sharers: I am not a lone wolf, so I very fast look for a partner. But I have learned my lesson there. So they do not come in, and I give them 50% equity and sign a document, they come in, and I work with them.

You can dangle equity, but I would dangle the equity over time because experience has told me that we all get excited at the beginning, but maybe a year down the track, you're gonna find people appealing off.
