Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened.Those who are experiencing the wrath of God recognize or perceive within them that God exists and is the creator of all things, but they do not give Him glory (that’s honor) of which He is worthy and they do not give Him thanks for life and all that they enjoy. Instead, their reasonings and speculations about God are empty, vain, or useless. God calls their hearts foolish hearts and as a result of their vain reasonings, their hearts have no light. Let’s contrast the state of those under God’s wrath from those who have been justified by faith and live from faith to faith. Because their hearts have been enlightened to see the glory of God in the face of Christ, they recognize that Jesus is life. Having seen His glory, they give Him honor and thanksgiving in all things. They have the mind of Christ, so their thinking is being renewed and conformed to that of Jesus. I hope this describes your life. Let this remind you to honor God today and give Him thanks for His grace to you in calling you to live to love with Jesus.
