Lee Shanks is a 57 year old wife, mother and entrepreneur living on beautiful Vancouver Island in British Columbia. At aged 13 while being attended to by a dentist, she was struck with a pain so intense, so severe, she was sure no freezing had been placed. But it had. It wasn’t until the attacks had returned at age 32 that she finally got a diagnosis- Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Seven years ago, Lee spent 60%, plus, of her time in bed. Heavily medicated to deal with the intractable pain, she wasn't driving, was barely able to dress most days, and felt like a spectator in her own family. With the medications no longer working, she was told that opiates were her next step. Anxious to avoid that option as long as possible, she choose instead to try cannabis oil.
Today, Lee enjoys taking long road trips, hiking on weekends with one of her three sons and her German Sheppard Karma, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening, volunteering, and running her business as a popular psychic medium. She has gone from being a spectator in life to being a full participant and isn't showing any signs of slowing down any time soon!
