Unconditional love is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved one’s qualities or actions. The pattern of unconditional love is a mother’s love for her newborn. To honor my mother's birthday month, I wanted to share my story of unconditional love and how I experienced growth without her physical presence. Grief is love when you have such a valuable relationship with that person. 

Mom, you have taught me so much about unconditional love no matter how good or bad my qualities; you gave me your love and undivided attention. As I worked on this terminology, it’s incredible how it has affected me in the long run. How do I show up when I come across people who have hurt me in the past?

We can love without expectations because we don't live with the fear of being taken advantage of. 

Though things change, the future's still inside of me
