FORGIVENESS

Quote on Forgiveness:

As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison.- Nelson Mandela

It is a conscious, deliberate decision to release feelings of resentment or revenge toward a person or group who has harmed you, regardless of whether they deserve your forgiveness. The only thing forgiveness requires to stop feeling resentment towards a person.

When do you need to forgive someone? When you want to let go of bitterness and be the person you want to be.

Forgiveness is not excusing poor behavior.

Forgiveness does not mean reconciling with the offender

Forgiveness does not mean you give up having feelings

Forgiveness isn't easy, but it's vital to your mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
