What is energy work anyway? This is a super fun and deep conversation with Kenneth Jover - someone who I am so deeply grateful for, and who has guided me through and taught me profound healing and energy work that has transformed my life. Whether you're new to energy work or you're a life-long practitioner, this conversation covers a wide range of examples of how we can engage energy work in our daily lives.
If you haven't listened to the first pod with Ken, check out Episode 3 "Sacred Engagement of Emotions."
Kenneth Jover is a bridge-being and a master practitioner of several energetic traditions. Ken was raised with Ancestral Nagual Teachings and initiated into the world of the healing arts at the tender age of 3 by his grandmother. She transmitted to Ken a living tradition of ceremony, healing and embodiment, awakening in him the courage required to live a life dedicated to spiritual transformation. At the age of 5, Ken accepted the charge, which has guided most of his life: embody the ancient teachings and create a healing system to guide the modern practitioner. The practices Ken offers are a synthesis of ancient lineages and trauma informed interventions, harnessed to offer the quick path for transformation.
At the same time that Ken was learning the healing arts he began his lifelong practice of the martial arts, learning from his Uncle. Through martial arts Ken has developed a fierce heart, an unbreakable spirit and a love for the path of the warrior. His curious nature and strive to always learn different frameworks led him to practice various forms of marital arts for the last ten years, namely: Russian Systema, Bujinkan Taijutsu and Jeet Kun Do.
Ken worked in the field of family violence intervention for over 10 years and worked for several years as a counselor for men who were using violence against their partners or children. Ken honed his ability to accompany individuals in a change process even when being court ordered, which helped shape a unique facilitation approach. Along with providing direct care, Ken has developed new curricula, trained counselors, and led teams and initiatives in trauma informed care. During this 10 year period, he has engaged directly or indirectly with over 3,000 children displaced by violence or neglect and over 2,000 men who have committed acts of violence.
Ken relates to the energy realms as one would a close friendship; with play, innocence and ever deepening closeness. Accomplished in the practice of Vajrayana Buddhism, Ken offers the tools necessary to bring wisdom into the engagement of the shadow and how to use skill to transform misunderstanding.
