When we have tunnel vision, we often don’t see the bigger picture. We’re simply focused on the wrong things. Pratik Patel tells his story in this week’s episode. As an unpopular, overweight Indian kid living in Kansas, he found a love for exercise and nutrition and started working with college sports teams, which eventually led him to professional sports, and now coaching anyone who wants help. Working with athletes on how to properly train and fuel their bodies taught Pratik so many lessons in life. He realized that he was ultimately focused and fixated on himself, putting an emphasis on winning, making him feel more important than he was, which led to him making many mistakes throughout his career. He was able to realize that his spiritual and value system had been faltering, that taking care of himself is important, and also see that the value comes from what impact you can make on others. Having a fixed mindset will keep you in a tunnel, but when you grow into an abundance mindset, you can truly live out your purpose.  In this episode, you will learn: (1:55) Pratik’s Background, Finding a Love of Nutrition and Exercise  (13:00) Why Having a Fixed Mindset Can Lead You Down the Wrong Path (21:50) What It Looks Like to Have An Abundance Mindset (29:45) Where Tunnel Vision Leads and Learning to See the Bigger Picture (41:00) Life After Sports and Learning to Take Responsibility
