Sonya is the Executive Director of Nashville Propel, an organization which is demanding better schools. They organize and develop powerful parent leaders to ignite a movement that demands equitable education policies and practices in Nashville public education.

"I never want another parent to feel the way that I felt when I realized that my son was not receiving a quality education. Our children deserve better! If anyone says that they are receiving the best then they are not telling the truth."
