WHEN TO CALL AND WHEN TO CRY OUT // PASTOR TERRY // THE ICONIC CHURCH1 Kings 18:20-39 (NIV): The Difference Between a Call and a Cry Out: A "call" to God is a request, a form of communication where we express our needs, concerns, and desires. It often implies a respectful conversation with God, acknowledging His presence and seeking His guidance, much like a phone call with a friend. A call can be a daily conversation, a routine part of our relationship with God. It may include prayers of gratitude, intercession for others, or seeking wisdom. A Cry Out: - On the other hand, a "cry out" is an intensified and passionate form of communication with God. - It signifies an urgent, emotional, and deeply heartfelt plea or supplication to God. - A cry out is an expression of desperation, a recognition that our need is profound, and we are entirely dependent on God's intervention.
