There are groups of people who are isolated, like research teams on Antarctica or astronauts on the International Space Station. Isolation comes in all forms and oftentimes, extroverted people want to end that isolation and bring everybody into the spotlight. Sometimes though, those isolated people will do anything to just be left alone.

Sure trains can get delayed, but for the most part, you can get from point A to point B in a more direct route. The great thing about a train over a car is that you don’t have to drive, so you can focus your attention elsewhere. Sometimes though, the train driver’s attention is also focused somewhere else.

They spend a good amount of time watching and waiting, not something you would pay to see a blockbuster movie about. Sometimes though, the truth is stranger than fiction.

Jennifer and Brian Bishop didn’t get a lot of time to themselves with three children, especially since their youngest was only five months old. But they’d managed to carve out a weekend in February of 2008 to go to Chicago. Brian worked in roofing and wanted to attend a roofing convention there. Something like the mailbox at an abandoned home, watching the mailman show up every day and drive right by, wishing that one day there would be some mail for them. Either way, the inanimate objects that we interact with shouldn’t affect us any longer once we put them down. Sometimes though, the things we touch have a way of holding on.
