To be isolated could be good or bad. You could be isolated for your protection, keeping you away from people who want to do you harm. You could also be isolated as punishment, like putting a child in a time out for acting up. You also don’t have to be alone to be isolated. There are groups of people who are isolated, like research teams on Antarctica or astronauts on the International Space Station. Isolation comes in all forms and oftentimes, extroverted people want to end that isolation and bring everybody into the spotlight. Eggs are a pretty standard part of most people’s diet. They’re rich in protein and a fairly renewable food source. On top of that, in my own opinion, they’re delicious. In the 19th century, large groups of workers would rely on eggs to provide them with the protein they needed to complete their laborious jobs at an affordable price. Sailing across the ocean is dangerous today. Nearly 300 years ago, people were doing it with much less reliable information than we have now. They had maps that were flat out wrong and equipment that didn’t really work if the weather was bad. They had to rely on the hope that nature would cooperate with their desire to make it to the other side of the world. Many men had the experience and drive to make the journey successfully. Minisode : Lewisham Rail Crash : London, England
Public transportation is an important part of our urban structure. Moving a large number of people at one time is always going to be much more efficient than every person taking an individual path. On top of that, riding the rails can help you cover more ground faster as you don’t normally have to deal with traffic. Sure trains can get delayed, but for the most part, you can get from point A to point B in a more direct route. The great thing about a train over a car is that you don’t have to drive, so you can focus your attention elsewhere. Sometimes though, the train driver’s attention is also focused somewhere else.

Episode 13 : Free Ireland! : Ireland
Colonization has had a major effect on the world, both positive and negative. Of course the people being colonized are often going to have a more negative view of the people coming in and declaring the land theirs. Societies want to have a say in what’s happening in the place they call home, but usually, even if they don’t like it, the locals don’t have the power to do much about it. Sometimes though, they muster the strength to fight for what’s theirs.
Children are considered some of the most vulnerable people in society. That’s why they’re usually under the care of an adult guardian of some sort. There are times when children are found out on their own, lost or having suffered some great tragedy. When that happens, we as a society make every attempt to care for those children by either finding their parents or placing them with other adults who are willing to take care of them. Usually, lost children are from the local area and their origin can be traced fairly easily. Sometimes though, the children found are out of this world.

Becoming a prisoner of war is obviously not a favorable situation. Today there are global rules that determine how those prisoners should be treated, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the conditions POWs are held in are far from comfortable. The word home is an important word. It’s usually used to describe the place we live in like our house or apartment, but it has a much broader meaning. For people in the past, their home was a region of the world that they had grown up in for generations and it was a place they felt they would always have. Season 02 : The Deep South
Episode 09 : Murderous Mary : Kingsport, TN
Working with animals can be both fulfilling and challenging, but it's crucial to remember that even the most well-trained creatures can react unpredictably if they feel threatened or provoked. It's important to approach animals with respect, caution, and patience, taking the time to learn about their natural behavior and warning signs. Bigger animals pose more significant risks, as they have more power to cause harm. Whether working with domestic pets, farm animals, or wildlife, always prioritize safety and remember the cardinal rule: if you fuck around, you're eventually going to find out. Sometimes though, the rules get ignored and pets can become predators.

Season 02 : The Deep South
Minisode : The Cursed Pillar : Augusta, GA
An inanimate object is something that you may interact with on a daily basis, but it doesn’t interact back with you. It just sits there as the day passes by and people come and go, usually being completely ignored. Some inanimate objects get more attention than others, like a telephone or an office chair. Those objects are constantly used and have a purpose that makes them helpful to the people around them. Other inanimate objects are much more lonely. Something like the mailbox at an abandoned home, watching the mailman show up every day and drive right by, wishing that one day there would be some mail for them. Either way, the inanimate objects that we interact with shouldn’t affect us any longer once we put them down. Sometimes though, the things we touch have a way of holding on.
