A Cause and Effect is a relationship between 2 things - when something happens it makes something else happen. In other words, the cause creates the effect. A cause is something that produces an event or condition and effect is what results from an event or condition. For example if you study hard then you get good grades, if however you skip the clases or don’t do your homework then you will get bad grades. If you work hard then you will learn more new things and likely get a promotion and earn more money. Every decision that we make in our life will have a consequence because our decision is cause and consequence is effect. How you invest your time today will determine what goals you will achieve in the future. That’s why it’s important to understand the principle of Cause and Effect. It’s also important to note that every cause or decision doesn't just have one effect or consequence, but many. These are called second order consequences. For example, let’s say that you start a new keystone habit - Exercise. And you use the time after work that you usually used to watch the TV. As you start to go to the gym you will naturally become fitter and that is probably what most people try to achieve. But then you start to make better food choices by eating healthier meals and saying no to snacks. You also don’t waste your time in front of the TV. As you can see then one new habit (Cause) ended up creating multiple healthy consequences (Effects)
