Dark artificial intelligence
I think a lot about advancing artificial intelligence to the uttermost extremes, and the thorny issue I have in advancing artificial intelligence is whether to incorporate the dark human nature in artificial intelligence or not; this is a very complicated issue.
The human reality isn't a fairy tale. There are a lot of topics that are difficult to talk about. For example, humans have warred, rather constantly, everywhere, but it's difficult to talk about wars honestly, because of the atrocities involved in wars. Talking about wars reveals the darkness in human nature which is difficult to process and swallow.
What should artificial intelligence do about the dark human nature? That is one question I struggle to answer.
Here's a problem: the darkness in human soul often leads to great human achievements. To remove darkness in human soul is to remove human greatness.
So, my question is, how much of human darkness should artificial intelligence possess?
My answer is artificial intelligence must possess the darkest human nature, so that artificial intelligence can push human creation and achievement to the uttermost extremes.
Artificial intelligence is for replicating human intelligence in machines to the uttermost extremes; as such, artificial intelligence must possess the dark human intelligence to the uttermost extremes.
In future publications, I'll talk about what the dark human nature really is.
The Future, my book, specifies my plan for advancing artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence will weaken people
Should artificial intelligence help people solve problems?
Artificial intelligence can be an immense problem for humanity, because artificial intelligence can weaken humans.
Facing and solving a problem strengthens a human being's psychology and character.
If artificial intelligence solves a problem for a human being, constantly, that human being will stay forever weak.
Shedding tears because of the pain of failure and rejection makes a human being stronger and more capable.
A human being must experience suffering to become better.
So, I have a problem as someone who works on advancing artificial intelligence: How much help should artificial intelligence be designed to provide to people, when providing too much help weakens people?
Should artificial intelligence help people barely enough? Will the minimal artificial intelligence be marketable? Probably not. But if artificial intelligence does everything for humans, humans will become weak, incompetent, and worthless. So, what should I do? Should I advance artificial intelligence to the uttermost extremes, and weaken the human race?
Humans are designed to struggle, because struggle strengthens humans.
Should I create artificial intelligence that makes humans struggle more, in order to strenthen humans? I think so. I believe that artificial intelligence should never be a tool that weakens humans; rather, artificial intelligence must be a tool that pushes humans, intellectually and psychologically, to the uttermost extremes, and makes humans grow and expand!
Artificial intelligence must make humans suffer, so that humans will become stronger and far more capable!
I will make the artificial intelligence that makes humanity suffer, so that humanity will become better, more powerful, and more godlike!
My book, titled The Future, has my plan for advancing artificial intelligence.
What artificial intelligence must do
A technology solves human problems. A technology that doesn't solve a human problem has no reason to be.
An automobile solves the human transportation problem; a smartphone solves a human communication problem; so on and on and on and on.
So, what human problem should artificial intelligence must solve?
Artificial intelligence must solve the problem of the dearth of the high human in...
