Chris Hughes of Broken Arrow Ranch, has probably one of the most unique business models I’ve seen with their on-site field harvesting and mobile processing unit as well as their own sales and distribution of wild game. Chris’ father Mike Hughes, a true pioneer in the industry, started the business and created their mobile processing unit in 1983. This family run business is the real go-to for wild meat for individuals and restaurants. It’s not just a win-win for them but as Chris likes to call it a win-win-win, since they are also helping create sustainable herd populations for ranchers and providing a necessary service for our wildlife.
