This relatively “new” term “Lip Service” is somewhat of a “term du jour”, however, the actual action is not new, it stems back to biblical days when people used useless words to “woo” others into thinking that they had their back or that they were with them, when the opposite was true. People do this every day in every way and since we are living in a time of lies and deceit, we must always watch ourselves and be careful, using discernment at all times to discover the “fleshly” people who lie for whatever reason that suits them.
