As we move onto 2nd kings, we learn that the kings continue to become wicked, and so do their progeny, as The Most High curses them and kills off their children and unrest becomes commonplace, more chaos ensues with the kingdoms. Although many of the kings are wicked, The Most High is still faithful to the children of Yisreal, but He will get His way.

We also see that Elijah has been taken up to be with The Most High in the heaven of heavens and he is also prophesied to come back (and did come) to earth to do a mission. The mantle was passed over to Elisha and he also is a powerful prophet because he requested a double portion of the power of Elijah, and it was granted by The Most High.
