From early on, I've always considered myself a little suspicious of rules!! I've always been sneaky with bending and avoiding rules, questioning rules, tip toeing around certain rules. That led me somewhere between fear of failure and extreme people pleasing.

It wasn't until the past 2 months that I've realized why that is.

I've been operating on rules (aka belief systems) that don't serve me any longer. In stead of conforming constantly to following the rule book, I'm forming new rules as I go now. Not everything has to be set in stone. That's always been a safety net "for me"!!

There are some fundamental rules that I will continue to operate on like kindness, respect, equality, ya know just basic human rights.

(don't get me started)

However, The rule book is forever under inspection from this point forward. If it doesn't look like happiness, freedom, peace.. I don't want to play that game.

So, don't be afraid to veto, omit, or replace rules over your life that keep you trapped in fear, anxious energy, & stagnant thinking.

Don't be afraid to "break the rules"

Action step** after listening to this episode, pull out a pen and paper, write down 3 rules that you live by (Be honest), then write down 1 rule that doesn't serve you any longer, then write a replacement rule.
