The year is 1921.  The world is riding high new technologies and new explorations.  An expedition bound for Cairo counts among its number an archeologist, a society woman, a body guard and an expert in the occult.  After their plane crashes, what fate awaits them in the Barovian Valley?

The party has been challenged by Madame Eva to find the fated Foe of Strahd von Zarovich, and they set out to see who that could be.  From there they set off for Vahlaki with the hopes that they can find a safe place for Ireena to hide.
