Eventually, on our journey through 2000 years of Christian history, we arrive at our own experiences. In the last few decades, we have experienced the war on terror, political scandals, climate change, iPhones and marketing of Christianity. The world is changing at such a rapid pace it makes our heads spin. History books will be written about these crazy times, but do we even have the capacity to agree on what is happening?

And the gospel remains our foundation. Personal faith in Jesus and the life-changing work of the Holy Spirit is still our message of hope. Paul said, “I want to be found in Christ. To experience the power of his resurrection.”

As we conclude our Summer series, we will discuss the events and influences that modern life has on the Church. The question remains, ‘What are we trying to accomplish here as the Church of Christ?”
