It seems everyone we know is searching for a better life. More possessions, more pleasure, more freedom. The world offers to fulfill us with more stuff at the expense of our souls. We should not bet tricked. The old ways of personal fulfillment don’t work.

We are preaching through the second section of the best-selling book, Live No Lies, by John Mark Comer. He understands that the devil’s lies are directed at our distorted hearts and our confused identities. However, the good news is that Jesus offers us new life and real freedom. Jesus offers us the better life.

We will be studying a portion of Romans 6 and seeking to come alive in Christ by offering ourselves to God. We must put the old self to death. No longer slaves to sin.

“Offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.” Romans 6:13
