In recent weeks, we have laid out the groundwork of applying the Scriptures to our lives & relationships. This week will we take a deeper look into the Scripture and spirit of Deerbrook’s Relational Covenant. It describes how we will behave & live together.
Our denomination was founded on the appeal of pietism, a Christian faith that deeply effects our hearts and actions. Psalm 119:63 is one of our earliest mantras, while peace & reconciliation has been a longtime goal & practice. The New Testament letters of Paul consistently appeal to unity and living ‘for one another.’ We would do well to heed Scriptures’ advice and guard our words & interactions, to seek reconciliation and to be filled with a spirit of grace & peace.
We sincerely hope you feel deeply connected to others in the congregation. We also hope reconciliation can be achieved within our body. This truly is a practice of spirit-filled people.
