The soil represents the heart of the non-believer or lost sheep. What we will learn from this parable is simple: it is (y)our responsibility to sow the seed, and the rest is up to God. We can’t change other people’s hearts, just like the sower can’t change the soil they're planting in. BUT GOD is more than capable of changing someone’s heart and opening their mind to receive the gospel through (y)our sowing into them.

QUESTION: How do you sow a seed spiritually?

The directions are simple:

1. Receive wisdom and instruction from God ie. the seeds you need for your own heart.
2. Sow the remainders into the lives of those around you.
3. Pray for the seeds to take root and grow in the recipient's heart.
