Episode 29 opens with the story of a dead gecko, leading cohosts Diana and Ian into stories about other animals; alive and dead. Ian rants a bit about switching from CenturyLink to Xfinity (Comcast), getting crappy tips as an Uber driver, and wonders out loud if he will ever find a viable job to pay off his student loans. Diana talks about her pain and sleeplessness over the last week and recommends that chiropractic doctors may offer a better alternative to relief. Ian recommends weed as another alternative for pain, which leads to two into discussions of censorship on various media platforms, legalization of marijuana on a federal scale, and how messed up the prison system is. The podcast gets meta, and we talk about two other podcasts on our radar before getting into alien conspiracy theories. Ian mentions switching phone providers from Republic Wireless to Boost Mobile after Dish bought Republic Wireless. Dish also owns Boost Mobile, which prompts Diana to comment on the capitalist hellscape that companies create with monopolies, mergers, and all the nonsensical vertical integration across various markets. As our cohosts begin comparing humanity to a hill of ants, they question whether change is truly possible without some sort of massive collapse. To keep things light, the podcast is wrapped up with Ian estimating how many humans it would take to defeat a giraffe in combat. Join us next week!
