In a drunken haze, Ian brings up the controversy of numbers 11 and 12, which Diana helps him rename. The duo loosely discusses humility and meritocracy, then springboards into conversation on gendered clothing, parenting, teaching, education, art, drawing and writing, music (I wrote that one diagonally), and the sad reality of adults punching down on kids' dreams. The two are unsure if they want to have kids. Looking back to the past, they point out the cruelty of religious conquest and cultural appropriation. Diana seeks to reclaim her ancestral source while Ian is questioning social activism. Somehow, spirituality gets all tangled up between marketing and advertisement talk; as things so often do with this cast of clowns.
