First Sunday of Lent

Jesus' time in the desert provides for us mere mortals not only the secret to endure temptation, but also the secret to gain victory over our sinful inclinations. The temptations that Satan used to divert Jesus from His mission and identity are the same temptations we face as well: pleasure, power, and honor. As we continue our expedition through the desert, may the Holy Spirit lead us back to our true identity as God's beloved sons and daughters, for He alone shall we serve.
