The real star of this episode of the State of Mind podcast is Ethan.

Ethan is a baby that was born after only 29 weeks and weighed only 1.43kg at the time of birth. Recently he celebrated his first birthday so I invited his mother, Casandra Seng, Business Group Lead for Modern Workplace at Microsoft, to tell us a bit more about Ethan and the challenges she went through during her pregnancy.

Casandra spoke about the helplessness she felt while her baby was in the incubator and she couldn’t do much more but wait and hope. She also pointed out the importance of the supportive network of family and friends, but also the support she found among the couples who were going through similar circumstances.
