We talk a lot about the value of staying regular with your podcast and our recommended cadence for most podcasts is weekly. For clarity - you should publish your show every week. You also know - because podcasts aren’t live, you can batch record and schedule your podcasts to be published while you're away on business, enjoying a vacation, or even dealing with a last-minute crisis. And because you’ve batched some recordings you have a buffer.

All of this is the good and absolute best practice as far as me and the team is concerned.

So it’s when you’re dealing with external forces… you are likely to encounter hiccups.

When I say external forces… what I really mean is ‘podcast guests’.

This is where a Calendly, Aquity, or similar booking system will be invaluable for you.

This is a booking system you can add to your website that allows your guests to book in a slot for recording with you.

But guess what? You can’t automate humans.

So, when it comes to setting up a guest booking system, you might also want to consider a PS: ‘let me know if none of the times showing work for you’… especially for your higher profile guests.

So - within reason, be flexible and always stay human.
